Art in a burning house exhibition: "A good neighbour - a found treasure"

No matter where you are, everything is burning. Through our screens, there is no escape from the collapse everywhere around us, with mass media making it impossible to run away from the stark reality we face. The fire is catching, and the neighbour must act. In such a bleak age, where we are all connected to each other, we feel more distant than ever. The role of the artist takes the spotlight. What do they choose: to live with their eyes closed or take on the pain?

Burning house collective is a curatorial art collective, brought together by shared interest in the central theme of the exhibitions: the burning house. With a diverse background in curation and cultural management in several countries: Estonia, Georgia, Austria, Germany and Switzerland, the collective works together to platform local artists and represent their work and lived realities. “Our collective envisages a more engaged approach towards art consumption, where the artist has the opportunity to present themselves more closely in connection with their work and the context in which it is grounded.”
